My children had a great night! My oldest knew exactly where to go when he saw Pilot the Eagle sitting outside the event and ran right in. They had fun and begged to go back when we left. It was so nice to know they were not far away and well taken care of during our event.
Special Ops Child Watch · Service area
Serving Springfield, VA
About 30 minutes from Clinton via I-495 West across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge into Virginia, then south toward the Springfield Interchange.
Springfield sits at the center of Fairfax County's military corridor, where I-95, I-495, and I-395 converge at the interchange locals call the Mixing Bowl. Fort Belvoir is a few miles south on Route 1, and a large share of the families in communities like Saratoga and Rolling Valley are tied to the base, the Pentagon, or defense work along the Corridor. From Clinton, the SOCWS team crosses the Woodrow Wilson Bridge on I-495 and arrives in Springfield in roughly 30 minutes, straightforward even on event nights when coordinators need setup time ahead of the first guests. The military density here means event coordinators at Belvoir and nearby installations are planning balls, holiday parties, and retreats on a regular cycle, and the families in those formations are exactly the families SOCWS was built to serve.
Including Saratoga, Rolling Valley, Cardinal Forest, Orange Hunt and the surrounding area.

Does SOCWS provide child watch at events held on Fort Belvoir?
Fort Belvoir events are well within our service area. Coordinators should reach out directly to discuss the specific venue, event date, and expected number of children so we can put together an accurate quote.
How early does your team arrive to set up before an event in Springfield?
Setup timing depends on the venue and the scope of the event. When you book, we confirm an arrival window with the event coordinator so the child watch space is fully ready before the first family signs in. Call us to talk through the logistics for your specific event.
Can SOCWS staff a Saturday evening event in Springfield?
Yes. SOCWS operates on an event-based schedule that includes evenings and weekends. Military balls, holiday parties, and retreats typically run outside standard business hours, and our coverage is built around that reality. All bookings are arranged in advance, not on a walk-in basis.
