My children had a great night! My oldest knew exactly where to go when he saw Pilot the Eagle sitting outside the event and ran right in. They had fun and begged to go back when we left. It was so nice to know they were not far away and well taken care of during our event.

Military Retreat Child Watch in Washington, DC
About 15 minutes from Clinton via I-295 North, with additional time planned for events at venues north of the Mall or during peak evening traffic.
Military families assigned to DC-area commands often spend years on the JBAB housing waitlist and end up dispersed across Southeast DC, Prince George's County, and surrounding communities. When a unit runs a marriage retreat or single-parent program on installation, those families are driving in from all directions, and whether child watch is available often determines whether a parent can participate fully. SOCW has staffed JBAB retreats and brings the credentials, staffing ratios, and Inclusion Staff coverage that on-base family programs require so that every parent in the room can use the retreat as it was intended.
Military retreats often run full days with back-to-back programming that families shouldn't have to skip around. SOCWS provides continuous on-site child watch for the full event block, with age-appropriate activities that hold children's attention through long sessions. Our licensed providers manage logistics, safety, and programming from setup to teardown — so participating families can be focused and present without worrying about what's happening in the care room.
About Washington
Washington, DC sits about 15 minutes north of Clinton via I-295, and it is the most active corridor for the kind of formal military events Special Ops Child Watch was built to support. Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling sits where the Anacostia River meets the Potomac, and SOCW has staffed events there, including single-parent and marriage retreats organized through base family programs.
